Join us for an informal day celebrating the ancient tradition of Wassail in our newly planted orchard!
🌳 What is a Wassail? Wassailing is an age-old custom in which communities gather to bless their orchards, wishing for a bountiful harvest in the coming year. Traditionally, this involves singing, making joyful noise, and even pouring cider at the roots of fruit trees to "wake them up" after winter and drive away any bad spirits. It's a lively, community-focused event full of warmth, noise, and togetherness.
This year, we’ll be honouring this tradition to bless our newly planted orchard at Got Greens Farm. Your presence will help bring life, energy, and good fortune to our trees as they grow to nourish our community in the future.
🌱 What’s Happening?
Free Veggie Chilli: Warm up with a delicious bowl of homemade vegetarian chilli.
🥤 Refreshments will be available for sale throughout the event, so you can stay warm (or chilled!).
